A380 routes [2018]

The Airbus A380 superjumbo is flown on several flight routes to and from the USA. This page is focused on listing such flight routings to make it easier for you to find an a380 flight and experience the added space it offers. Please keep in mind that routes do change, and airlines keep receiving deliveries of new A380s and adding and subtracting flight routes, and they sometimes change equipment (types of airplane) used on particular routes, so this page may have inaccuracies. Still, I hope you find it useful for finding A380 routes into and out of the USA.

Only a fraction of the many airports in the US currently have a380 flights. They are: Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Dallas (DFW), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), and Washington DC (IAD).

From Atlanta, one can travel to Seoul on Korean Air on an A380.

From Boston, there is an A380 flight to London.

Dallas: choices are Dubai and Sydney.

Houston: Dubai and Frankfurt.

From Los Angeles you can go to Dubai, Germany, Guangzhou, London, Melbourne, Paris, Seoul, and Sydney on a A380. Details are on our A380 LAX flights post.

From Miami you can go to Frankfurt, London, or Paris on a A380.

From New York you can go to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Frankfurt, Milan, Paris, and Seoul on a A380. Details can be found on our A380 New York flights post.

From San Francisco you can go to Dubai, Frankfurt, London, and Paris on a A380 SFO flight. Details are on our A380 SFO flights post.

From Washington DC you can go to Dubai, London, and Paris on a A380.

What airlines fly the A380? Here are the A380 airlines that have Airbus a380 routes as of the time of writing of this post: Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Qantas, Air France, Lufthansa, Korean Air, China Southern Airlines, Asiana, British Airways, Etihad, Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Thai Airways. On other pages on this site we look at some of these airlines’ routes in and out of the states (USA). Please note that carriers sometimes have multiple nonstop flights between city pairs, typically departing at different times. Not all of their flights might use an A380 aircraft. I tried to indicate which flights are A380 routes by listing a time.

Comparing the Airbus A380 vs 747: The A380 has lots more floor space and higher ceilings. Looking at a 747 versus A380 airbus aircraft, the a380 is typically considered to have more comfortable air pressure and is quieter too.

Outside the US between international airport pairs there are many other A380 routes to try. So another way to get to travel on a superjumbo aircraft is to fly to one of these other cities on a typical aircraft and connect to a Airbus a380 flight. Still, it’s very convenient to board the A380 domestically, and I hope this page has helped you find such domestic originating a380 flights. Have you explored the rest of the website? It has lots of other useful flight routing information for travelers.
